We Worked In The Bricks, Gut String Records, October 2017

$13.00

The second album, featuring the same lineup found on the debut album, Workers’ Comp (2015):

Stefano Doglioni on bass clarinet, Pasquale Grasso on guitar and Charles Goold on drums. The special guest for this record is the uniquely voiced Stephen Riley on tenor sax! Stephen joins us on a very spirited variety of tunes, ranging from compositions by Jackie McLean, Gershwin, Monk to newer contemporary showcased work from my idols Ned Goold, Chris Byars and even one from the man Pasquale Grasso himself..

This album is a tribute to the city that I was born, The Brick City, Newark New Jersey (.. even though I’m a diligent representative of Newark’s little brother township, Irvington, that raised me as well..). The introduction to the art form known as Jazz was discovered and cultivated in The Bricks, so it’s only fair to express my love to the town..
